Welcome to Mapleview Free Methodist Church of Niles, Michigan. Our church's mission statement is simple: We want to help people move closer to Jesus Christ. Whether you are a long-time Christian or have never been in a church, we want to help you on your journey. If you're considering visiting Mapleview, here's some points you might be curious about:
Worship service
We worship together each Sunday morning at 10:45. Services last around 75 minutes. Our service format is contemporary: We begin with singing, have a prayer time, hear a sermon, and usually sing a final song together.
Music and style
Our worship band accompanies singing to a mix of contemporary songs and beloved hymns. Our typical member dresses casually. We'll even get you a cup of freshly-roasted coffee to bring into the sanctuary with you.
Families
All ages are welcome to stay in our worship service. Most weeks a children's time is presented, after which kids are provided a binder with worksheets, coloring pages, and art supplies. Kids' education time is on Wednesday nights, so Sunday mornings are free for focusing on worship.
Babies
Even the youngest members of God's family are welcome to stay in our service, however we also offer a staffed nursery just outside the sanctuary for ages 2 and under. A video feed lets you follow the service if you'd like to stay with your child.
Size
Mapleview is a small church with a diverse congregation of all ages. If you're a visitor, expect to be recognized and warmly welcomed.
Access
Our upstairs sanctuary has a ramp and a stairlift for accessibility. There's a restroom on the main level (in the nursery) for those who do not wish to go downstairs. Standing (which is encouraged during singing, for example) is always optional. If there are other concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us!

What's a Sh'ma?
Each week during worship, Mapleview recites some scripture together, starting in Hebrew: "Sh'ma Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai EḼad".

I love being part of a small church where I know everyone and we can easily welcome visitors.
